EXMORTEM: Another New Song Posted Online
December 2, 2006A pre-production/rehearsal recording of another new EXMORTEM song, entitled "Salvation", has been posted online at the Danish metal band's MySpace page. According to the group, "this is a fast one to show you the diversity in the new material. Still just a pre-production thingy made in the rehearsal. Rough, raw and unpleasantly extreme!!"
EXMORTEM recently ended its co-operation with Earache/Wicked World Records. "EXMORTEM will now start to look for a new home for their coming releases, as well as a booking agency that will take care of their coming live activity," the group said in a statement back in September.
"The band is right now in writing mode and will record the follow-up to 'Nihilistic Contentment' (2005) during the winter. Most of the album has been written, so a release should be expected during the beginning/first half of 2007. This release will be the first with drummer Morten Siersbaek and the first to show the band's 'new' style…"
The group added: "We are in no hurry finding our new partners in crime, but expect to announce a new label pretty soon though."
"Nihilistic Contentment" was released in January 2005. The CD was recorded over a four-week period at Antfarm Studio in Aarhus, Denmark with producer Tue Madsen (THE HAUNTED, HATESPHERE, MNEMIC).
EXMORTEM was previously signed to France's Osmose Productions and Holland's Hammerheart Records.
